New Board Composition as from March 2021
The SMH Board was successfully new elected at the last Business Meeting. We thank Joëlle Tchinda for her years of work as SMH President.The new Board will continue this important work in knowledge exchange and representing the interests of the SMH members in various political venues. Under the heading „Board Members“ you can find the positions of the new board members. The Board began their work after the last Business Meeting and will hold office for the next three years.
Minutes of the Business Meeting (March 2021)
The Minutes of the last Business Meeting are now available in the Member Area. It contains information on the Update on NGS remboursement and recommendation on the new analysis list.
Next SMH Business Meeting: Save the date 4th of March 2021
The next business meeting will be held virtually on 04.03.2021. An important topic will be the election of new board members. All interested members can stand for election by informing the SMH President.

SMH working group is transformed into a socetiy
With the voting results of the 16th of September 2020 the members of the SMH Working Group accepted the statutes and decided to be from now on the SMH Society.
Next Business Meeting will be taking place on the 16th of September
The next business meeting will be taking place virtually at the 16th of September from 10:00 to 13:00h. Here you can find the program.
A Zoom-Meeting invitation was send per Email to the members for participation at the 10th of September.
Please make sure you have:
- a good internet connection
- quiet room or headset
- updated Browserversion
If you have trouble to join: check if internet access is good, log out one the Zoom Meeting and try to login again. The App-version download is for free.

If you click on the link in the invitation e-mail, the browser will open automatically.
Next, choose whether you want to join the meeting via client or browser.
If you have not yet installed Zoom (client), you will be asked to do so. If it is already installed, the app will start and you can join the meeting directly.
–> if you want to join by browser (not downloading the Zoom client) select: Starten sie über ihren Browser.
Then enter your name in the browser and press the „join“ button.
In the videoconference itself you can share your sound and webcam so that others can hear and see you. However, this is not mandatory.
Alternatively, you can open the Zoom app, click on „Join“ and then enter the meeting ID to join the meeting.
Canceled next Business Meeting
Due to the „besondere Lage“ several meetings are canceled, so as well the SAKK meeting. Therefore the planed Business Meeting of the SMH is as well canceled and will be held in September 2020.
Annual Technician and Academics Meeting
The annual „Technician and Academics Meeting“ took place on 14.01.2020 in Zurich. On the basis of myeloproliferative neoplasias (MPN) the technical side of ddPCR and its inclusion in the diagnostics of MPN was discussed. The meeting with clinical insight into the subject area and lectures about Next Generation Sequencing as an increasingly important diagnostic tool in the diagnosis was well attended.
